Bugloss, Anchusa (Azureum "Loddon Royalist"): There are a number of Anchusa species that belong to the borage family. As a herb plant, it was grown for its red dye from its roots. Its blue flowers are still used as a garnish for salads. This sun-loving plant grows well in average, medium wet, well-drained soil.
