Trout lilies, DogTooth Violet (Erythronium dens-canis): By the beginning of May, Trout Lilies with their distinctive mottled leaves can be found blooming in the woodland areas of the University of Guelph's Arboretum. Once the surrounding trees begin to leaf out, the blossoms quickly disappear.
