Purple robe locust (Robinia pseudoacacia): There are a number of purple robe locust trees in the common areas across the road from us. With their large clusters of pink pea-like blossoms, they provide a magnificient display for approximately ten days in late spring. This tree is native to the Applachian region of the U.S.
