We at petals by mag pride ourselves in
our attention to perfection throughout the entire process of creating our petals by mag framed photographs. From
carefully selecting the flowers photographed, to following up with our customers by ensuring their photographs
and purchase experience exceeded their expectations, we are meticulous in every detail.
photography
Petals by mag photographs are taken using
either an Olympus Camedia or a Nikon D70 camera. An AF Nikkor 28 - 85 mm macro lens is used on the Nikon camera
to capture the close up details in the photographs. Mag records the date/place of each photo in order to provide
our customers with as much information as possible on their unique flower photo.
printing
Mag photos are printed at a minimum resolution
of 200 ppi. We use only the highest quality professional paper with a matt finish - Kodak Professional Endura.
Our photos are printed at a professional lab using LightJet Laser technology for consistent high quality. Mag inspects
every photo to ensure it meets our strict quality standards. Only after the photo is thoroughly inspected does
mag sign and number the print.
framing
All petals by mag photographs are framed
in house, by hand. Our frames our Canadian made using solid wood and stained black. We start the framing process
by mounting the photos to the mats, always using acid free tape to preserve the longevity of the photos. The glass
in the frame is carefully cleaned to ensure there is absolutely no dust or residue inside the frame. Once our framing
technician has thoroughly inspected the frame for residue, he places the mounted photo inside the frame and secures
it firmly in place with a backing and finishing nails. The frame is then sealed with acid free paper to ensure
no dust or air can enter. Finally, the framing technician attaches a mag certificate of authenticity to the finished
product.
shipping
Once framed, petals by mag framed photographs
are immediately and carefully packed for shipping. The glass on your petals by mag frame is first covered with
protective corrugate cut to size for protection. The frame is then wrapped in bubble wrap to further protect it
from damage during shipping. Each photograph from the series is individually packed in its own corrugated box.
The series is then firmly bound together using packing tape and shipped as one unit.
