Goat's Beard (Tragopogon dubiius): Which is the garden flower and which is the weed? For
me, certain weeds that have an attractive flower head are accepted into my garden such as the goat's beard, which
is also an edible plant. It is self seeding and usually appears every other year in some unexpected corner in my
garden. Its large fluffy seedheads produces an attractive seedheed that look especially nice in the evening light.
Leopard's Bane is a sunny perennial that is a welcome sign of spring. Provision must be considered for summer blossoms
to fill the space, as Leopard's bane will go dormant by summer.
